ABOUT HOPE

Hope House is about relationships. There’s no hiding it or soft selling. Connecting you to Hope and faith in Jesus Christ is why we are here. Everyone is precious to God no matter who they are or what has happened in their lives. The simple truth is life begins when we meet Jesus and discover who he really is. That’s why we describe our vision this way, connecting real people to a real God in real life. Don’t expect us to look or sound religious. We are real people living real lives just like you and that’s not always straight forward. The amazing thing is that God is real too and loves to connect with us. We hope that this page will help you to see how you might get connected. What do we believe? That people need to connect to God through Jesus and to be filled with His Holy Spirit. We call that becoming a Christian and its so much more than just going to church. Below is a prayer you can say to help you make that connection.

Lord Jesus, I know I have done things wrong in my thoughts, words and actions. There are so many good things I have not done. There are so many wrong things I have done. I am sorry for those wrong things and turn from everything I know to be bad. You gave your life for me on a cross. Gratefully I give my life back to you. Now I ask you to come into my life. Come in as my Saviour to clean me. Come in as my Lord to lead me. I will serve you all the remaining days of my life.

Amen

You can use this prayer to connect to Jesus right now and then call us to help you discover more

Identity, Commitment, Hope, Integrity and Humility
We start 2016 by looking at how we can build a transformational community that is stronger and more vibrant:

  • we’ll establish that we find our identity in Jesus Christ and that this is an essential element of a growing community
  • we’ll show that for a community to flourish it needs to be a place where members commit to one another, commit to the world, and commit to the gospel
  • we’ll consider how communities can use hope to see transformation in their lives, the world around them, and their ability to face suffering and disappointment
  • we’ll explore how thriving, inclusive communities can keep it real and simple
  • we’ll discover the revolutionary power of humility that allows communities to transform their relationships

The Notes so far

Transformed Life

Transformed Life is a new tried-and-tested church programme for the whole congregation that looks at answering three of life’s key questions:

Who am I?

Where do I belong?

What am I living for?

Looking at Ephesians 1—3, we’ll be exploring the key life issues of

purpose, identity and belonging.

Be challenged. Be renewed. Be transformed.

Fruitfulness on the Frontline
LICC tree

How can we be fruitful on our frontlines? How can we show and share Christ’s wisdom and love with the people we meet out in the places we usually find ourselves – at the shops or in the gym, at work or at the school gate? This liberating resource offers a fresh, simple framework for discovering a rich variety of ways in which God may work in us and through us right where we are.

HOPE HOUSE CHURCH WORSHIP

Our music is contemporary with a live band and our speakers are relevant to real life, but worship is more than music. Worship is a lifestyle so here’s what else we do in the life of HHC. Hope House Church has a heart for worship and knows just how important it is. Worship is vital in communicating the Good News about Jesus and allows us to connect with God. We believe worship should be a vibrant exciting experience. We want to revolutionize the way a generation understands worship. The music team desires to cultivate an energetic atmosphere of praise as well as invite people into the freedom that comes from authentic worship.

mission & vision

Hope House has a clear identity as a growing church family of people out of which our activities can be defined and understood as we seek to carry the Good News into our local community, nation and beyond. Hope House will seek to be a growing influence for good as we grow through the planting out of local groups and  congregations, which will belong to the Hope House family of churches. Our growth will always be in the context of Matthew 28 where Jesus describes a discipleship based life style of preparation and sending.

We aim to support the poorest and most vulnerable children and young people, through education, vocational training, feeding and welfare care.
